About Me

This RadarAtlas blog is produced by a hobbyist software developer and aviation enthusiast based in the USA. RadarAtlas has a Google Chrome Extension of the same name. You can install it here.

I began work on the Chrome Extension in October, 2020. I started with small features and worked up to tracking large groups of people based on category: Athletes, Janet Airlines/Area 51, Companies, Environmentalists, North Korea, etc. I am not a professional developer so I taught myself everything I needed to know to incorporate the features I wanted to build.

This blog is a newer thing. I started it in February, 2022. I wanted to be able to share with the world all the interesting stuff I've seen on the map. I did have a twitter account but that has since been permanently banned by Elon for tracking his jet (#N628TS).

Only recently has this project been thrust into the spotlight because of some research and tracking I've done on Russian oligarchs. To me, tracking this group of people is no different than tracking my favorite athletes and superstars. The fun comes from putting in time to research the person, finding their aircraft, and seeing if I can spot them flying around the world.
